Recently delivered a Lecture as an invited faculty-on my favourite topic “Micro-Vascular Surgery -Interesting Cases, How we do it “. The one-day CPD (continued professional development) activity on Multidisciplinary Cancer Care-Oncology Forum -2019, was organised by – Indian Medical Association, IMA-Pimpri-Chinchwad-Bhosari Branch in association with Jupiter Hospital, Pune at Hotel Grand Exotica, Chinchwad, Pune on 04-08-19.
The CME was attended by many Medical Practitioners. Plastic & Reconstructive surgery forms the backbone of reconstruction in patients. This helps patient in regaining back their lost form and function of the body part which is removed due to cancer surgery.
Whether it’s a hand, leg, jaw, tongue, lips, part of face, scalp, breast, genitalia or any of the body part, the patient should always ask for the reconstructive options available so that he is saved from the disfigurement or loss of function of his body part. The patient himself/herself or patient’s relatives nowadays can take advantage of the internet about various cancer surgeries and the options of plastic reconstructive surgery available today. This reconstruction surgery helps the patient in re-gaining the confidence to move around in society as a normal human being.
This event also marked the launching of new August-2019 edition of IMA SPANDAN booklet with my article “The wonderful Speciality of Plastic Micro-Vascular Reconstructive Surgery- A boon for cancer patients”.
